It's Music Time
Music and Lyrics by Johnette Downing
Copyright 2003 Johnette Downing
Well, come on everybody it’s music time
Get into the groove with the rhythm and rhyme
We’re gonna dance and sing ‘til we’re feeling fine
Yeah come on everybody it’s music time
Come everybody let’s clap our hands
Come everybody let’s clap our hands
Clap in time to the rhythm band
Yeah come everybody let’s clap our hands
Tap our toes we can feel the beat
Tap our toes we can feel the beat
Tap our toes up and down the street
Yeah, tap our toes we can feel the beat
Shake our hips get into the groove
When music is playing we have to move
Find a friend it’s time to dance
Music makes friends by happenstance
Track 2
Shaky Tooth
Music and Lyrics by Johnette Downing
Copyright 1992 Johnette Downing
I’ve got a shaky tooth in my mouth
It moves around from north to south
What am I supposed to do
With a shaky tooth in my mouth
I bit into an apple; I love them with all my heart
Not only was it sour, but it was also tart
That wasn’t so bad, the worst part of all
My tooth began to wobble and I’m afraid it’s going to fall (whoop!)
The very next day, I heard my mother shout
For when I said good morning, my shaky tooth fell out
I’ll put it under my pillow when I go to bed
For when I wake tomorrow, there’ll be a quarter there instead (whoo!)
Track 3
Honey Jar
Music and Lyrics by Johnette Downing
Copyright 1992 Johnette Downing
Four little bears fast asleep (sleeping motion)
One got up for something to eat (waking up motion)
Went to the kitchen didn’t have to go far (walking motion)
Stuck his paw in the honey jar (stirring motion)
He said yum, yum, yum (rub tummy)
He said yum, yum, yum (rub tummy)
Three, two, one...
After the bears got something to eat
They jumped in bed and covered their feet
Wished upon a shining star
And dreamt about that honey jar
They said yum, yum, yum (rub tummy)
They said yum, yum, yum (rub tummy)
Track 4
Getting Dressed
Music and Lyrics by Johnette Downing

Getting dressed, getting dressed, I love getting dressed
The first thing I do in the morning is put on my shirt
Second thing I do in the morning is put on my pants
Third thing I do in the morning is put on my socks
Fourth thing I do in the morning is put on my shoes
Cold...coat, cold...gloves, rainy...raincoat, rainy...umbrella.
Track 5
Riding My Bike
Music and Lyrics by Johnette Downing
Copyright 1992 Johnette Downing
I’m riding my bike, bike, bike
Beside the street, street, street
The wheels go round, round, round
The horn goes beep, beep, beep
I’m riding my bike, bike, bike
It’s lots of fun, fun, fun
Through the rain, rain, rain
In the sun, sun, sun
I pedal fast, fast, fast
I pedal slow, slow, slow
I always smile, smile, smile
Wherever I go, go, go
Track 6
Body Parts
Music and Lyrics by Johnette Downing
Copyright 1992 Johnette Downing
I know my body and all the parts
I know my body, my body parts
Sing along and you will see
You have parts just like me
My body, my body parts
My body, my body parts
My body, my body parts
I know my body parts
This is my head, my eyes, my nose
And my mouth where all the food goes
So stick around there’s more to come
Some body parts have more than one
These are my shoulders, my arms, my hands
And my fingers like rubber bands
This is my stomach, my legs, my feet
And my toes wiggle down the street.
Track 7
Rhythm Band
Music and Lyrics by Johnette Downing
Copyright 1992 Johnette Downing
Come on everyone let’s make a band
Come on everyone let’s clap our hands
Gather everyone that you know
Come on everyone it’s time to go
To make a rhythm band play, ah cha cha cha cha
Make a rhythm band play, ah cha cha cha cha
Play the tambourine 1, 2, 3
Play the tambourine 1, 2, 3
I said play the tambourine 1, 2, 3
Come on everyone follow me
Drum, rhythm sticks, maracas, play everyone.

Tick Tock Rock
Music and Lyrics by Johnette Downing
Copyright 1994 Johnette Downing
When the big hand is on the twelve
And the little on the one
It’s (clap, clap) one o’clock tick tock
When the big hand is on the twelve
And the little on the two
It’s (clap, clap) two o’clock tick tock
Telling time around the clock
Big hand, little hand tick tock rock
Telling time around the clock
Everybody do the tick tock rock
Tick tock, tick tock rock
Tick tock, tick tock rock
Three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve.
Track 9
Fish Dance
Music and Lyrics by Johnette Downing
Copyright 1990 Johnette Downing
Every Friday night under the sea
The fish get together for a jubilee
All the fishes line up in a row
And do the fish dance toe to toe
All the little fishes in the deep blue sea
Come up here and do the fish dance with me
Well you can swim to your left, swim to your right
Swim around in circles with all your might
Dive to the bottom, come up for air
Flap your fins everywhere
All the little fishes in the deep blue sea
Come up here and do the fish dance with me.
Track 10
Wonderful Friends
Music and Lyrics by Johnette Downing
Copyright 1990 Johnette Downing
Point to yourself and say “I am”
I am, I am, I am, I am
I am, I am a wonderful friend
Point to a girl and say “she is”
She is...
Wonderful friends from near and far
Wonderful friends that’s what we are
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful friends
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful friends
Boy...he is, two people...they are, everyone...we are.
Track 11
Make It Rain
Music and Lyrics by Johnette Downing
Copyright 1990 Johnette Downing
Make it rain, make it rain, make it rain (3x)
Make it rain, make it rain
The sun soaks up the water
And the clouds begin to grow
Gray and full of water
Where will the water go?
First the wind blows the clouds in (rub hands together)
From the sky there comes a drizzle (snap fingers)
Then the rain begins to fall (pat legs)
Then you hear the loud thunder (stamp feet)
When the clouds get too heavy
They let the water go
To fall back to the earth
As rain, hail or snow.
Track 12
Tennis Shoe
Music and Lyrics by Johnette Downing
Copyright 1990 Johnette Downing
Where oh where is my tennis shoe
Where oh where can it be?
It’s not on my foot, it’s not on my knee
Oh where oh where can it be?
Oh where oh where can it be?
Gone-bed/lawn, go-rake/hoe, lie-ground/sky,
Been-neighbor/friend, last-fast.
Track 13
Peanut Butter Sandwiches
Music and Lyrics by Johnette Downing
Copyright 1992 Johnette Downing
Ba oop ba boo, ba oop ba boo...
Peanut butter sandwiches
Peanut butter sandwiches
I love peanut butter sandwiches
I love peanut butter sandwiches
You can use French bread, you can use white
I could eat peanut butter every night
Put it on your knife; rub it on your bread
I’ve got peanut butter in my head
You can use jelly, you can use jam
I eat peanut butter whenever I can.

Chugg-a-lugg-a-choo-choo train (repeat)
Find a seat and sit right down
Then the wheels go round and round (repeat)
As the train goes down the track

When the train comes to a stop
We get off of the train with a jump and hop (repeat)
Track 15
Hurray!
Music and Lyrics by Johnette Downing
Copyright 1990 Johnette Downing
When it’s raining outside all day
And no one can go out and play
I don’t feel sad or gray
For happiness will come my way, if I
Clap, clap, clap my hands
Snap, snap, snap my fingers
Stomp, stomp, stomp my feet
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle my body
And make, make, make a happy sound, HURRAY!
Make, make, make a happy sound, HURRAY!
I am feeling better hurray, hurray!
If I am sick in bed
A fever or an aching head
Or I ate a ton of bread
I am not unhappy, instead, I....
